Have you just gone self employed, and a bit confused about the important tax dates that you should have in your calendar?

Here is a quick round up of all those important dates – and what you should do by then:

31st January – You must have submitted your tax return, and made the payment (plus, possibly, a payment on account for the following tax year!)

5th April – Your tax year has ended, you now have 301 days to submit your return, get organised!

31st July – The second payment on account will be due.

5th October – Have you just become self employed? Make sure you register with HMRC by this date, to let them know that you will now be submitted tax returns.

31st October – The deadline if you are submitting a paper return (just do it online – it is so much easier!!)

If you have any confusion on these dates, please feel free to ping us a message!
